it's been the 4th consecutive day tht i've been to starbucks...God knows why...ac'ly God does know why, as i do too. my mind has been in a riot for the past couple a days and i guess it's high time i should just face reality.

staying cooped up at home makes you think of a lotta things...initiated by the things you see, hear, smell, taste, feel and to add to the 5 senses; even the stuff u talk about. yesterday i hung out wif a couple of skewl mates...it's been a while since i've had a nice decent conversation with the locals, as being a local here usually make me feel like a tour guide since most of my uni frens are frm outta town.

so while we chatted and laughing away at our lives gone by, i felt a familiar sense of unbelonging. this is sumthing i've felt for ages but kept well at the back of my head. its situations like this that initiates 2002 questions in my head...and in the end, despite all the raving riots and mess, i end up making a life changing decision. one that i'll stick to.

i cant seem to decide for anything at the moment. a lot of things are going on but it seems like life is empty. one thing is for sure...i was right; good things never last. ah well...i did enjoy it while it lasted.

i've been in a state of hapiness for a while...i know its not gonna last forever, but i wanna cherish the moment. i was very tired last night, but i slept feeling happy about how well life is flowing for me right now. i cant explain it, but i finally feel in control of my life. i even woke up with a smile today. =)

funny story: i discovered pablo neruda thru a movie called Bollywood Hollywood; where Sue a.k.a Sunitha recited verses from his poem to the dashing Rahul. The words caught me, and with the power of the net; i was able to drown myself in his poetry ~

Awarded with the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971, Neruda; Chilean poet, diplomat and communist leader is the most influential poets of the 20th century. His real name is Ricardo Eliecer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto. The pen name Pablo Neruda was derived from Jan Neruda, a Czech writer and poet which later became his legal name. Neruda used this pseudonym so that his father who was against his passion, would not discover that he was a poet.

His first published work was an essay he wrote for the local daily newspaper, at the age of thirteen entitled Enthusiasm and Perseverance. i spent 2 whole days spring cleaning my room...and i say, u can find many strange and wonderful things when u decide to clear ur room once in a while. i cant believe i still have my pmr exams timetable and the complete set of papers~! o_O i also found a lost sock [it was my fave] and a tshirt tht doesnt belong to me or anyone else in this house! woo~! ^_^ BUT the best thing i found was this little book which i remember getting for my 16th birthday...

It was hand made by my fren theeba..."20 Reasons Why You Are My Best Friend". it's cover is gold around the edges, and inside, she cut the edges of the pages using zig zag scissors and wrote in colourful felt tip pens. Seriously, i'd rather get this as a bday prez compared to picture frames. [no offence to those of u who got me pic frames...*big innocent grin*]

One fine day, i came across this post tht a fren of mine wrote...i ges the cheesy title caught my attention...he was decribing how a particular song defined love for him. as i read the post, one beautiful song came flowing thru my head...and i realised tht i felt the same way he does when i hear beethoven's violin romance.

note by note, this song was made with love. The first time i heard this song, i was almost brought to tears at its mere beauty. the whole world freezes as i hear the violin sing the words of love. love in my opinion, being something undefined by words, is defined in this song. a song that lifts me of the ground; my joys and my sorrows are all but gone leaving me with pure serenity in a world unknown. love.

My life have yet to be illuminated with such light. Once my heart beats to that song...then i'll know for sure ~

boy oh boy am i havin a ball~! [not!] my finals begin on wednesday the 8th and it will end on thursday the 23rd. after many long divisions and the application of taylor's method, i realised that my exams r only gonner last for two weeks. two weeks usually go by in a jiffy for me..but why does it feel like it's oh so very looooong and draggy everytime i stop to look n stare at my final's timetable? after much starin, i figured out the resons y. 7 papers.

i miss strummin away n singin along like an idiot...tht leads me to missin the frens who inspired me to pick up the guitar back in jmc. ma guitar's been collecting dust in ma room, so i decided to lend it to my fren coz i know he'll break the dead silence of ma guitar make beautiful music wif it. ^_^

but for now, the exams havent begun to begin yet n i rly gotta get my bum movin n continue studyin. good luck one and all!

being a civil engineering student, i juz cudnt care less abt how the hell escalators work...i'd rather twiddle with wires and light bulbs... the fear of friday the 13th [sebut betul2...]: Paraskavedekatriaphobia, a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a fear of the number 13. I remember vaguely from reading the Da Vinci Code, that this particular day is related to the Templar Knights; who were accused to be a bunch of heretics. On Friday the 13th, they were arrested, tortured and slained.

i for one, had a head start to friday the 13th. wif my thursday ending wif a too-tough-to-handle highway test, i decided to hang out wif sum frenz...releasin our stress via the equivalent item to starbux coffee n ciggies..ice cream! sigh~ even the geniuses in my class had empty answer sheets. which proves tht i'm not that much of an idiot. ^_^ ~> not. EFF.

i ges ice cream wasnt enuff coz herbert took us to the college cafe n i had a lousy cuppa tea. i've been there a lot since they put up a big screen. sempena fri the 13th, the people there had to put on this stupid cheesy 80's horror flick called Friday the 13th. its like part porn, part cheese, part smelly big toe and for dessert, pickle n onion ice cream..which i did not hav at mcD. [i had a luvly jubly m&m mc flurry fyi.]

d muV started orf wif a doc n a nurse makin out next to a corpse and a tv, where there was a half naked woman dancing arnd thinkin she was sexy; but rly she luked like mrs blobby. n the doc n nurse soon got killed by a guy in a hockey mask [i think] using a saw/dagger. they deserved to die. even mrs blobby on the tube deserved to die. later in the muV were more bunches of people who deserved to die. esp the guy whose head is surgically attached to his cap and wears hot pants all the time and dances worse than an octopus on coke. he prolly tot he luked rly kewl back then, but felt like commiting sepuku wif a saw once he saw himself in the muv again in the nu millenium.

i cant believe i watched half d effin muV.. O_O now i'll remember this particular fri the 13th for the rest of my life. i even herd a stewpid song today. [tanx to my bro] the barracuda. a bunch of jap girls tellin people to do the baracuda. so there i was, ready to do the baracuda..but then i cudnt understand a word they were saying in the stewpid song. n i was pretty sure they were singin in english... o_O

bird 2: (sober but takin advantage) 30 worms if u miss..

bird 1 sadly goes home to his wife n kids n announces tht they're gonner starve for the rest of the month. bird 2 on the other hand, ate too much worms in celebration of his winnings and fired away his excessive waste tht crashed landed onto our cars.

not only do birds think tht my car's a good poop target, but one fine night, while i was walkin to the cafe wif my fren, i saw a rly cute cat standin near my car...

the bloody cat put me in a rage tht i wanted to kick it so hard so tht it wud fly to the moon like a cow. but i was already late for my discussion so i had to postpone the plan. he thinks he can leave a mark on my car eyh? i'll leave him a mark..a tyre mark!

so today's annual car washin wasn't due to the dirt n dust on my car...it was due to aminal waste. i dun mind washin the car...but the fact tht i'm risking brain cancer.. O_O aargh!

hard-core chick lit fans might hav heard of Confessions of a Shopaholic. the bestseller novel by sophie kinsella [official site] which i hav never got round to buying...coz i'm..yes, the dreaded B word for shopaholics world over; broke. :'(

so all i can do is read excerpts from the buks in the site juz to get a good idea of what i shud look fwd to 1ce i finally hav the dosh to buy em. while i was hapily readin away, i came across this little [excerpt] where i felt like...i am this Becky character. or at least on the verge of becoming her. O_O

yesterday, after 3 days of no sleep n hard labour, i went out to chill wif d gossip folks. wat else could i possibly do but shop? here's the catch tho..i only had 40rm's wit me. n tht shud cover dinner, petrol, a movie and starbux. so i did the other dreaded word for shopaholics world over..it starts with a W this time; i window shopped..!

it works on releasing some stress though. but the thought of me being able to buy that cute orange reef bag or that mr happy adicolor shoes and the floral patterned summit shuz and the gorgeous pdi top and the east india jeans to complete it all if i had the dosh..oh, the agony!! [puts hand on forehead in a very drama queen-ish manner]

i've known myself to hav sed such things when i buy stupid expensive things...a good example is my giordano bermudas which i only wear at home/college n the only time i wear em outside is when i'm driving back home from college at nite with hope that the pak gad doesnt stop me at the entrance gate and make me get out of my car. heh..i feel some guilt rising now..naaah..itz juz the heat. i forgot to turn the fan on... o_O

i hope i dont end up in that sticky situation the Becky character lended herself into. mebe i shud juz ban myself from using credit cards in the future. or make my mum hold it for me n then i'll have to beg her to gimme when theres sumthing i think is worth buying. no, mums hav a lot of mercy when they see their kids beg. i shud give it to the most merciless person in the world...[note to self: make a list of my most merciless frenz]

better solutions to this would be:
1. get filthy rich...
2. get a rich boyfren cum husband-to-be.
3. throw me into a "shopaholics anonymous" asylum
4. buy the cheap faux stuff [the dreaded F word for shopaholics world over]
5. think happy thoughts so that i wud hav no reason to release stress by shopping.

i personally like solution 1 n 2. lol~ i love me!

XP oh..no wonder...fact #3: jake the lead used to b an exotic dancer. i've been in utp the past weekend. n d pain frm the 8 hour travel aint over yet considerin tht itz d first day of ramadhan...had to wake up erly to help the mummy then i hit the sack again then the mummy returns n woke me up again not much later to teman her to angsana coz she wanted to buy curtains. the joy and wonders of angsana and curtains.

so now i'm all flat out on the sofa [all hail the inventors of the laptop] netting away. [women in the past wud b knitting away..lol] utp experience was interesting. i salute the architect for comin up with such a great design for a university for a bunch of losers. [no offence utpians] i fell in love with the library. i think if i was loser enough [again, no offence] to get into utp i'd devote my life to library worship. i'd eat sleep n live there. hrm..mebe 1 day when i'm a certified civil engineer i shud pimp utm's lame psz. i mean,the books in psz are heaven. i love old books...it has more wisdom, but the lib design...makes me yawn to an extent i'd stretch my big mouth half a cm everytime i lepak there.

ooh~ event of the whole trip! i drove around tronoh..hahah..for an amateur like me, tht's pretty hebat. soo proud of myself. ^_^ i met up wit my bes frenz eena n hud there n they were too tired to drive since they juz got back frm ganu the day i was there. lepaked at the maplai n watched happy gilmore. my mum made me drive her to angsana today. iman's driving rule: NEVER drive when ur parents r in the car. so i made up stuff like i'm too tired n woozy to drive. which i am. ha~!

itz almost 6 now. breakfast iz in an hour..now the mummy's nagging me to suggest a good place to eat for breakfast. [i wonder if the laptop inventors hav tot of inventing hav a nagg blocker...i luv my mummy anywayz.] i only hav nasi kerabu kaler biru frm tmn u's ramadhan bazaar in my mind rite now. itz ben a while since i sed hello to the mek...plus i'm too tired to enjoy a grand meal today. we'll save tht for later days...so nasi kerabu it is. or mebe my cikgu's nasi jagung...eep! i'm makin myself hungry! o_O hav a nice ramadhan everyone~

ihayat tune: itz oh so quiet; bjork [too quiet if u ask me...]

Periplaneta americana; iman hayat's biggest enemy. so there i was happily doing sum exercise on Lagrange's Interpolation Fomula while lissenin to bjork when i caught sumthing horrendous at the corner of my eye crawling on the wall headin my way. b4 i knew it, the bloody thing was flying towards me and crashed landed on my math notes!! it can fly!! O_O curse u stinkerbell~!

naturally being a roach hater, i screamed n got away from my desk. i wanted to whack it to death, but unfortunately for me the roach was smart. my notes were on my laptop's keyboard n there is no way am i riskin splittin my laptop in half. d last encounter i had wif a roach caused me to break a plate. not a good experience esp when Min keeps bringin it up everytime i face a roach, scream n run like a girl to her [tht doesnt sound right]. n then comes superMin to the rescue with her bug spraying eyeballs!!

she didnt manage to kill it tho...she came back with dissapointing news..."i think itz either behind ur laptop or hiding beneath ur notebook." great... d roach prolly had lagrange's ghost innit or sumthing comin to help me with my math... o_O so i told min to sms mas...superMas to the rescue! n she killed it..! i gave the roach itz last breath of death by supersprayin it..nyahahahahaha...so much for being an aminal lovin hippie.

now i'm all paranoid. every form of flying bug freaks me out, a bit of dust brushing past my feet makes me jump n i cant help but look around every 10 seconds in case the roach tht superMas anihillated was a different one n tht d 1 wif Lagrange's ghost is still lurking abt....

ol skewl rocker~!

ihayat tune: bloc party; positive tension

i set foot into my ol school yesterday [the last time i did was a year ago, wif fikri to get our spm results] to find tht itz been uber-pimped. it makes u wonder, "hey, how come they didnt think of pimpin the skewl while we were still here?" after all, we were a bunch of good students. o_O [i know my frens were anywayz..lol]

it was rly funny walkin into school having an "official biznes" to run. so there i was, left alone at class 2es1...standing there, figuring out wat to say to the dazed and confused lukin kids. i juz wanted to hand out sum stupid questionnaires to em. so i went straight to biznes and i think i was very teacher-like. the way i talked to them, the way i dressed [except for my shoes] n the formality between me n them. plus i even fooled them enuff to call me teacher. hahah~

i couldnt stop laffin when they called me cikgu..! so while they were havin a hard time answering my uber dull questionnaire, i told them to stop calling me cikgu n call me kak iman insted. [altho tht makes me wanna laff n barf at the same time too] turns out tht most of the gals recognized me coz their older bros n sis's went to skewl in my era. didnt know i was miss popular. otherwise i would have used my hidden powers to rule the skewl! nyahaha~

yesterday's experience hav taught me several things:
- i miss school, but i wouldnt wanna go back to school.
- i want to hasut fatimah to do her practical in smktun.
- i lernt how to keep a bunch of monkeys in control [nah~ they were great kids.]
- being a teacher is not an easy task
- i am popular..even the generations waaaay below me know me~! ^_^

an incident occured to me yesterday tht made me put a paperbag over my head juz like in the pic above. yerp. thts me alrite. i've been driving and wining n dining and walkin arnd all day lukin like that. if u were wondering, thts a pic of me at utm's lake. the buildings in sight iz merely a backdrop left by the photographers during the recent convocation. it gives a sense of space for the not-so-big lake.

long story cut short, i've created a new word tht i think i'm gonner submit to the dewan bahasa and pustaka for approval of itz definition and use. i've made the use of the word official yesternite anyways. who knew tht i, of all people wud invent a new word in bahasa melayu? [with help frm a fren who defined the word] i'm so proud of myself i had to bury myself in the depths of the blanket of shame.

i think i wud score an A1 if i took the spm bm papers again, despite the A2 i got. bcoz i'm sooo good at makin up werds n usin em in a sentence. woohoo~
